Please check your eligibility for Visa 482 before enrolling.
Eligibility requirements
- Have at least 10 months of experience working in the meat-cutting profession;
- Have basic communication English proficiency (PTE 20*);
- Aged from 18 – 35 years old;
- Good health according to Australian Government regulations;
- NO criminal history;
* If you do not meet the English entry requirements, we encourage you to train with our supplier 8A Day Kem to develop your English, retest and reapply for the AMS Program.
Enrolment process
- Contact AMS . AMS staff will check your eligibility for admission with a few quick questions.
- If you qualify, you will be asked to complete our “Australian Meat School Eligibility Checklist”. Fill in the information and send it back to AMS staff via email info@australianmeatschool.com .
- After receiving your completed information form, AMS staff will arrange preliminary tests.
- Requested tests:
- PTE Tests: Go to 8A Day Kem for your PTE English proficiency test (free of charge);
- Physical Skills Assessment: Attend AMS for your pre-employment physical and skills assessment (free of charge);
- Health Check: Visit Nova Medical with your health check;
- Our AMS Training Manager will review your results and contact you with the next steps and further advice if you have been unsuccessful which may simply be to gather more experience.
